Elements of Midwest ISO Corporate Web
The navigation is done through a notebook (like tabs) that is simple, intuitive, and gives a single browser view. There are also visual cues that change color as one navigates.
Locational Marginal Pricing, or LMP, provides price transparency for users of the wholesale bulk electric system. The price signals provided by LMP indicate the cost of conducting business based on current system conditions. LMP consists of three components - energy price (EC), congestion (MCC), and losses (MLC).
LMP Control Area MapAlso know as the "balloon" map, this feature provides a real-time map of the Midwest ISO footprint showing the largest generators, with their respective LMP values. This real time map uses the same data feeds as the real-time LMP to display regional LMP values. Generators with the largest load were selected within the Midwest ISO footprint is are represented as a circle with the size and color dependent on their respective prices.
Downloadable Market DataThis feature provides the ability to download XML files fror data sources available in tabular format on the Market Information section of the site. The following items have been identified for the download option:
- Commercial Pnodes list
- LMP values for the current 5-minute, last hourly integrated and hourly day-ahead increment
