Former President and Chief Executive Officer Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.
Mr. Evans is Vice Chairman of the Board and chairman of the Board’s System Planning Committee. He also serves on the Human Resources and Markets committees.
Mr. Evans is the former president and chief executive officer of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations in Atlanta, Ga., former president and chief operating officer of Consolidated Edison Company of New York, and former senior vice president and chief operating officer of Kansas City Power and Light Co. He is a registered professional engineer and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Evans previously has served on many boards in the not-for-profit sector including Chairman of United Hospital, and board member of New York Presbyterian Hospital, the New York Botanical Garden, and South Street Seaport Museum. He is currently involved in educational foundations.
Mr. Evans is a graduate of the senior executive program at the London Business School in London, England. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University; a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla, a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University, and attended the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School. He joined the Board in March 2005.
