Judy Walsh is a dedicated public servant, entrepreneur, former utility industry executive and Certified Public Account who is well versed in the public policy issues surrounding the transition from regulated monopolies to competitive market structures.
She is a former commissioner for the Public Utility Commission of Texas, appointed by then-Texas Governor George W. Bush. She is a retired partner of Deloitte & Touche where she served for more than 30 years. Ms. Walsh is also a founding director of the Bank of Whittier in Whittier, CA; and most recently held dual responsibilities at SBC Communications in San Antonio, Texas, where she was the senior vice president of government affairs and senior vice president of regulatory policy.
Ms. Walsh is also the founder and owner of Walsh Consulting Firm, a financial counseling firm. Ms. Walsh earned a Master of Science degree in taxation from the University of Texas, San Antonio; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Rice University.
She is chair of the Board’s Audit & Finance Committee and serves on the Governance and Markets committees.
