Michael J. Curran is an economist and experienced executive in financial markets. He is especially skilled at aligning strategic business and technology initiatives to better serve the investment community.
Mr. Curran has spent the majority of his career in the investment community, including the last five years with the Boston Stock Exchange, Inc., where he has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. As chairman and CEO, Mr. Curran has led the BSE on a strategic course focused on strengthening partnerships through technological advancements. The Boston Stock Exchange is a premier national equities exchange that plays a pivotal role in the development of the region’s financial markets.
Prior to joining the Boston Stock Exchange, Mr. Curran was an executive with Zurich Scudder Investments, Coopers & Lybrand, Apollo Computer and and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. He is currently Chairman of the Boston Equities Exchange, LLC, and a member of the Boston Options Exchange.
Mr. Curran earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
